I was born in the land of Banjo Paterson, gum trees, and weather extremes.
I am a freelance photographer. I love to make images that make people happy. To capture forever a precious moment.
I am also a freelance writer/editor.
I live in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, but still like to claim my Australian heritage.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Communications in 2008.
I am writing my first novel.
I love to write poetry, short stories, and also write for the web.
And there is nothing that is on a par with a sunny summer's day spent at Waihi Beach.

We seem to keep forgetting. Just look at the news around the world.

sad isn’t it. it seems it is a human trait that we forget what does not serve us at the time. And when someone wants what another country has…well the memory of what war unleashes is completely lost it seems.

Thanks you on both counts. I will need to update my blog as I have decided that as much as I am incredibly honoured when someone nominates Chronicles for an award I just don’t have the time anymore to do all that is involved in the process. But thank you very much.

I have to admit I had no idea what Anzac Day was. So I had to check it out. And, yes, we should never forget those who gave their lives for a better world. Thanks for helping to educate me.

You are most welcome Otto. Do you have a similar national day to honour the soldiers in your country ?

Not really. We celebrate the liberation day at the end of WWII.
