I was born in the land of Banjo Paterson, gum trees, and weather extremes. I am a freelance photographer. I love to make images that make people happy. To capture forever a precious moment. I am also a freelance writer/editor. I live in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, but still like to claim my Australian heritage. I graduated with a Bachelor of Communications in 2008. I am writing my first novel. I love to write poetry, short stories, and also write for the web. And there is nothing that is on a par with a sunny summer's day spent at Waihi Beach.

  3. Oooh, we’re in the middle of a snowy nor’easter. that is one cold looking bum. We do have similar posteriors on our home island tho’–in August. Happy summer.

    1. Thanks kz !! I had planned something else…then I got to editing the surf carnival photos I had taken on Saturday…couldn’t help myself when I saw that bum.

  17. Ha! Good shot.

    Actually, my in laws just moved away from Orewa. We were last there in 2010 – a very nice spot for a swim. We did see the big swim club building, but not all those swimmers. We missed out, eh?

    We’ll be visiting them again in June, but the in-laws are in Matamata now. Guess I’ll miss out on them bums again… 😦

    1. It was actally taken at Waihi Beach. I went there to watch a friend’s wife compete against Australia…we won of course. But those Orewa butss were everywhere and I just had to use some of them. Head over this way when you are here – Matamata isn’t that far…and I’ll take you for a walk along the beach and we can imagine it FULL of swimmers..and butts…hehehehehe

    a very original take on this week’s challenge. nice to know it is warm and sunny at your end 😀
    by the way, it’s 6℃ (42.8℉) here. no beach weather here!

      And unique has been thrown around…I like that !! But this is the first time anyone has said ‘incorrigibly’…so…

      I looked up the definition of incorrigibly…

      1. Incapable of being corrected or reformed.
      2. Firmly rooted; ineradicable.
      3. Difficult or impossible to control or manage.

      That’s about right I guess…

      OMG…that’s way too cold for this little sun loving Kiwi/Aussie girl.

    1. They were wwearing them as they were competing against Australia…and each team had their country displayed ‘somewhere’…on front might have been a problem for the guys.
