    1. It is and no – apparently there are too many sharks and stingrays around – no one we talked to caught anything – just like us. But it was still fun being out there.

  1. I’ve never kayak’d, I just don’t fancy learning the ‘Eskimo Roll’. Canoed a plenty. A favourite sound is that of the blade cutting, grasping, pawing for movement, then crescendo into the sound of final drips that splash onto the surface with every stroke. Often, when I see images such as this or have ventured into remote places alone am reminded of the ‘title’ of a poem by Leonard Cohen -God is Alive Magic is Afoot.

    1. And I’ve never canoed…only kayaked the once and I did get pretty wet but it was fun.

      That is poetry…wow

It is a wonderful ‘small stone’. I love it.

    1. Actually Amy it is really warm at the moment. Between 19 – 22 celcius. Maybe that’s why the harbour is full of stingrays and sharks right now. While we were out I was soooooooo hoping for an orca…maybe one day.

  2. This is the better half’s vision of a perfect day. Add me behind, reading a book and it’s the perfect day for both of us.

      1. Oh I’m sure the tipping would be on purpose–such a practical joker all of the time. I usually find it much funnier a day or two later.

          1. Not another one! I bet you giggle when someone is upset as well. Okay, I admit, I can act like a baby sometimes, but you shouldn’t giggle so much at my expense 🙂

          2. Oh that is good! I don’t have to worry about that. The BH can’t even work the DVD player–for someone who is so brilliant I’m surprised by the little things that seem impossible. Of course this is just a way to get me to do all of the little things. Except cook–I’m a horrendous cook.

          3. Not too bad…though I fell on Christmas night. Thought I’d broken my nose. Funny thing everyone asks if I was drunk. I wish I had been…wouldn’t have bloody hurt so much. I looked a bit like a prize fighter for a couple of days…hehehe
