As Jake tells it: A village is a clustered human settlement or community, larger than a hamlet with the population ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand (sometimes tens of thousands).
So here are some of the villages I have spent time in over the years.

Interesting to see how different villages are in different parts of the world.
I don’t think I’ve ever been to, seen, or traveled by a village. Sadly, never had the travel experience. So I think this is a challenge I will have to miss, unless I can think of something unique. Your photos are fab.
Glad you like them. There are lots of ways to interpret village though.
In Australia the term village often is used in reference to small planned communities such as retirement communities or shopping districts, and tourist areas such as ski resorts. In urban areas of the Philippines, the term “village” most commonly refers to private subdivisions, especially gated communities. These villages emerged in the mid-20th century and were initially the domain of elite urban dwellers. Though often located in rural areas, the term urban village is also applied to certain urban neighbourhoods, such as the East Village in Manhattan, New York City and the Saifi Village in Beirut, Lebanon, as well as Hampstead Village in the London conurbation. So you could find an old people’s village…or a shopping village…the possibilities are endless.
Thanks !! I am lucky that I have been able to see all these different villages in my life. And I am very glad that I was able to capture them to remember/
