I like the first one because of the gorgeous dog. And I love the last one, because I think it really captures the essence of two subjects (foreground and background). I also like the way it juxtaposes an inanimate object (statue) with an animate one (the man in the background..if he had been reading the newspaper this would have been a unique capture). Also, it reminds me of some of the street photography of Eric Kim (I heard him speak on Thursday in Melbourne). Check out his blog here http://erickimphotography.com/blog/ and his photo stream here http://www.flickr.com/photos/ekizz/.
I never actually saw the ant until I was cropping the photo…I was just taking photos of the flowers because they were so beautiful in my friend’s garden. Funny what you miss.
That is weird…I just voted a while after you must have tried and it worked. I might e-mail them to check it out. But thanks so much for trying for me. i really appreciate it.
🙂
Thanks Jeff…well I do have the trusty point and shot Lumix and the smartphone that is smarter than the average phone…so i am happy for now.
🙂
If Hunter is anything like Maz…I bet he is gorgeous.
I cast a vote your way AND I like the first pic with the dog and the hand. I don’t know why but it sort of moved me. Perhaps it’s the look of peaceful, calm on the pooch’s face or the fact that it seems like a quiet moment where nothing more than a gentle pat on the head would make his day!
Hi Jo, loved them all.. The Dog is just so cute. but for me I love the Bees on the floweres… Twins.. and if we didnt have Bees.. we wouldnt have food… So espeically meaningful for me…
Hope you having a great Weekend… Hugs to you.. xx Sue
Thank you for the visit and the lovely comment. I am so glad to hear you like Chronicles…and thanks for voting. I really appreciate the kindness of your doing so !!!

Wow, Jo. These are all splendid shots! My favorite, of course, is of Maz and her Mama’s hand. What a shweeet face that is. I just wanna smooch it. Also love that contrast between the ant and the flower. The bench scene is also a great one, but they are all special shots.
Thank you !!!
People have been so kind to do so…I really appeciate that you all take the time…because I know it takes a couple of minutes…for someone you have never met. Thans !!!
All excellent shots, Jo. I think the dog is my favorite, just because I love dogs. But your header photo is so impressive it sort of puts the others in the shade.
I like the first two pictures the best but my favorite is the picture of Maz. You did a really nice job with the composition and finishing on that one.
OK, I guess I’m a slow Pirate. 🙂 When you said the challenge was on two subjects, I kept looking for what the two subjects were going to be. I “finally” realized the challenge was ‘two subjects’. I obviously need more Pirate tea.Beautiful shots by the way, and I can say that sincerely, with or without tea. 😉
