Sunday Post: Pleasure

Sometimes it is little things that give you the most pleasure.

Watching these guys this morning did it for me.

I was born in the land of Banjo Paterson, gum trees, and weather extremes. I am a freelance writer. I live in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, but still like to claim my Australian heritage. I graduated with a Bachelor of Communications in 2008. I am writing my first novel. I love to write poetry, short stories, and also write for the web. And there is nothing that is on a par with a sunny summer's day spent at Waihi Beach.

    1. I am not sure what it is either…but here is a picture.

It is a succulent, and it dies almost all the way back every year before sprouting up again. And the insects love it…as do I.

  1. Beautiful Jo! It’s things like this, that help me know I’m on the path I want to be. When I can walk through life, and spot the small beauties and creatures that abound in this world, like you so beautifully photographed here, I know I’m living the life I want to. So many people can walk down a street, and not even notice something as large as a dog in the yard, much less these tiny marvels. I’m glad we share the ‘sight’. πŸ™‚

    1. Oh my…there it is again – Beautiful Jo – yep, you can be a rainbow droplet – I noticed that a lot when I was travelling through Africa. Everyone was so in awe of the big game, half of them never saw some of the most beautiful amazing creatures that exist over there…because they never looked closely.

  2. I think that is a Neon Stonecrop Sedum. And my, what beautiful splendors you’ve chosen to share with us! πŸ™‚ I love it that you can see the beauty in the bees, Jo. So many would just be afraid of them or ignore them. Thanks VERY much for sharing your little (and big) special moments with all of us.

    1. Well aren’t you the clever one then. I looked and you’re right. Oh I am a big bee girl from way back…even a few stings haven’t put me off. I can watch them for hours.

There are two things I know for certain. One: Bert and Ernie are gay. Two: I want to hear your opinion.
