I spent this morning in a nearby town – Waihi.

Part of that time was spent visiting what is locally referred to as ‘The Hole’, Waihi’s gold and silver mine, also known as the Martha Mine.

The scope of it left me uneasy.

  2. Hmmm….I wish more people thought about the impact we humans have on Mother Earth. Sad how naturally beautiful She is and how ugly we make Her in our greedy quest for things that people find “beautiful”. 😦 It made me sad, too, Jo. But wow, what a huge truck! O_o
