I hear the purple as it floats by in the sunlight’s slow moving current
diving in eyes closed
the smell seeps in to all the pores of my skin

I am a freelance photographer. I love to make images that make people happy. To capture forever a precious moment.
I am also a freelance writer/editor.
I live in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, but still like to claim my Australian heritage.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Communications in 2008.
I am writing my first novel.
I love to write poetry, short stories, and also write for the web.

So rich and sensual!
What is the plant please? the leaves look like an ivy pelargonium but the flowers, more like a lobelia or even a salvia.

So glad you like it – I can’t find out what it is. The plant was a gift years ago. Will have to take a sample to a nursery to find out – watch this space and I’ll let you know !!

Beautiful picture and words, Jo. I almost thought your plant was a salvia, too, but I think it is a Plectranthus, also called a Mona Lavender.
