  1. Too funny! 🙂 I love this post. I don’t know if this is an example of ‘Kiwi humor’ (or not), but any one of these headlines could have been printed (or misprinted) in the US. So glad that I’m no longer a professional proofreader.

    1. I get making mistakes – we all do. And sometimes no matter how many times you proof-read something you miss one thing – but these papers must have proper proof-readers and editors – there is no excuse for them to get it so wrong.

  3. That’s hilarious, but it’s also no surprise. Here in the UK text write is taking over and an awful lot of young people have no clue how to punctuate and spell correctly. As a student for the last few years, I’m shocked by how much I have forgotten since my grammar school education.

  13. Ha ha, made me laugh – things like this really jump out at me. I must admit I’m a bit of a nerd who reads things like reviews and the other day I was reading a review for an air-bed and the person had put, ‘Inflatable Bed!! Go for this one and it will not let you down!!’ I just love the things people write in all innocence. Thanks for sharing!
