When I travelled through Africa I came across many wonderful sights. The animals in particular were a wonder. Yet often many of my companions looked no further than the larger animals.
Hidden, sometimes often in plain sight, if you took the time to look, were many smaller, but no less impressive, animals.
I have named those I can find.
If I got it wrong and anyone can help – I’d appreciate it.

Great shots! Love the colors and shapes of these creatures. Hope all is well with you.
I thought is was amazing – spent a long time just watching – you’re welcome for the pingback – that Pelican is amazing – so much expression in that eye
Great photos Jo! I have noticed most spiders tend to hide in the corners, but I still do get scared of them though especially if I see one hanging about in the bathroom!..hehehe
I like those butterflies! 🙂
LMAO – Jo always says nice things to me, she’s a constant ray of sunshine just like yourself DP – love you both!! Christine…? – how the heck did you mix my name up with something twice as long and nothing like it? hehehehe
All great shots Jo but I love the butterflies and the top macro of the spider. Great photography and they do stay hidden from us unless we keep our eyes open!
So what is it about all these hidden things that are so COOL? It’s like God made more beauty than we could ever appreciate and you have to look to see it. That’s what I love about taking pictures. Forces me to really look. Love the prisoner stripes on the spider.

Me too – the whole smaller animals is intriguing, and so many just skip over them because they aren’t big and either cute or frightening…

Thanks Gracie – fear of spiders can be healthy – we have a few poisonous ones in Australia so I grew up with a very respectful attitude to them.
