Jo, is that frost on the first picture? Time zone difference. So it must be like our Febuary here for you? Love how the sun highlights the ferns. Wonderful pictures! New Zealand is a beautiful place, you are blessed.

Why thank you ma’am – yes I did take these. It was just one of those mornings where it seemed appropriate to document its passing.

where I live August is the hottest month of the year. How strange then to see frost in your garden. But its very beautiful. So is all that green.

It is weird for me to hear you all talk about summer. New Zealand is very green. It is the first thing everyone says when they arrive here – how green it all is.

we didn’t get any frost this year yet in Auckland. Thank you for visiting. I read your profile. What kind of genre are you writing? Are you finishing soon?
Shall love to connect with you as we have similar interests.
I published my first book this May. I had to self publish because I didn’t want to wait for months and then get rejected.http://annkitsuetchin.blogspot.com/2011/03/diary-of-bereaved-mother-foreward.html

Lovely photos, great job!
If I were to document my mornings, you would only see pictures of the Captain’s Quarters. I don’t see any reason to ruin a perfectly good morning, by being awake for it. 🙂

Love the contrast of the frost and the colors (including green!). What is the pink? The other green looks kind of familiar but the pink “flower,” is strange to me.

Thanks – I liked that contrast myself. I think the plant is called A. arboreum ‘Atropurpureum’ or ‘Zwartkop’. It is very pretty and goes a dark purple.

The frost is kinda refreshing for me. Hot southern US summer weather going on here.
What is the pink bloom? It’s very pretty and you did a great job capturing it.

Thank you for that comment. I had heard you are getting it hot over there. I am not 100% sure but I think it is called a A. arboreum ‘Atropurpureum’ or ‘Zwartkop’. It is very beautiful. I love succulents.

What great photos! Frost…It has been as high as 105 in South Carolina this August. It’s strange to think: It’s the same day, same month, and you have frost.
Great Blog you have here. I have really enjoyed looking around. Good Luck with your book! I’m sure it will be great!

Thank you Lisa. So glad you stopped by and enjoyed looking around. That is fairly warm – we are about to get a real winter storm. They are advising everyone to buckle down against the cold, and the gales force winds. Not looking forward to it. 🙂
