When all else around me is chaotic, not going as I wish, one thing brings me comfort.
I know that in the most important task I was ever given – I did good.
These two amazing, beautiful, funny, caring individuals are my comfort, my solace, my joy, my pride.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Comfort
Love that photo! Beautiful kids!
And I dropped by to say thanks! I’m thanking all of you whose feedback I respect for a new milestone. For October 8th I hit a new Single- Day high for hits at 12,577. This replaces my previous Single- Day high of 2,336 on a day in early January of this year.
So thank you for reading and for offering feedback that helps me attract readers.
Oh Balladeer I am so happy for you – that is wonderful and you deserve it !!! Your blog is amazing.
So glad you liked the photo- it is a favourite of mine !!!
I know how overly excited (I can’t help myself at timesI I was when one day in August I hit 938 hits.
aaww Jo, you have gorgeous kids
Mine are both all grown up and living far away now, but they are still a great comfort to me in so many ways, so I completely understand.
Mine are a bit older than the photo shows – I have been putting all my old photos on the computer and I loved this one so much i had to use it. They were so cute when they were this little.
What a great life you have, Jo. Your photo is adorable. Children are a great source of comfort when all else around us is falling apart. Btw, Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my photo and leaving a comment. Much appreciated.
I’m not complaining. As long as the kids are healthy – happy, the animals too, I am a happy camper !!!!
great shot of friendship between kids- rita

Thanks Rita.
They both have gumboots on. Thats so cute!
They ALWAYS had gumboots – we used to have coloured ones/rainbow ones/patterned ones/dinosaur ones…maybe even a Barbie pair once. They were farm kids. Farm kids have gumboots. But they were always cute.
Beautiful children! And, you captured them in such an innocent, tender moment.
My children are my comfort, my joy and my pride too.
Hi Theresa – I think that is one reason why I love that photo so much – their innocence.
They bring us so much joy don’t they? such a sweet photo!
That they do Gilly !! They are the one thing in this life that really does make my heart swell.
Love the poem. And beautiful picture. They both look so cute.
So glad you liked it
Wonderful Children Jo… they look so happy and absorbed in their play I just love to see kids at play and watch their reactions to new things.. I remember when my daughter just began to walk and we took her onto some grass for the first time.. She didnt like the feel of it on her bare legs and when she did walk she walked on tip-toes all the time.. And I remember too the first holiday at the sea-side on the sand…… Funny how photos bring back memories.. I love flicking through the old photo albums and saying remember when we did this or that?? Thanks for jogging a few of my own grey cells today Jo..
They are wonderful Sue – sometimes when I look at them I am surprised by their beauty – andd i don’t mean how they look. Glad to hear I could bring back a few memories for you.
This is soooo adorable, Jo!
Thanks – it is a favourite of mine

You’re welcome – thank you as well
You did do good Jo! I see photos of my children and I just want to reach into the frames and hug them . . .
Thanks Patti – I just luckily had a hugfest with the son whe he was home – bless him, he never complained once about all the mothering and stuff…
Kids… Where would we be without them! For every naughty act there is a smile to warm the heart
And for every smile there is another naughty act…hehehehehehehe

He’s not relaxing – he’s examinin the properties of that which he holds in his hands…
I’m so good it’s almost excrutiating…hehehehehehehe
My two are long grown up and have flown the nest, one lives in HK now which for us is a fair old distance away
Oh that is a long way away. At present both of mine are based about two hours drive from here. But The Daughter has plans to go to Europe – Dutch Dad gives her a European passport – so there is an open door for her. Pretty sure The Son will travel – he is in the Navy and it has ignited the drive for it. Thing is – I did the travel thing, and immigrated away from family, so I can’t say too much. And I want them to travel – to see this great big world we call home, find THEIR place in it. Just wish sometimes I could go with them…hehehehehehe
Beautiful photo
Thank you – it is a favourite of mine
